18 Jun H1 Search judge category for Express & Star Business Awards
The Express & Star Business Awards is a prestigious event that celebrates the best of the West Midlands.
With a variety of categories, difficult decisions had to be made in order to decide who should take home each crown.
Managing director of H1 Search, Andy Hill, was asked to judge the shortlist in the best use of technology category, sponsored by altodigital.
He and marketing manager Jordan Mason spent a sunny May morning visiting the finalists across the Black Country. They were joined by representatives from sponsor altodigital.
As judges, they were looking for improved processes, reduced costs, increased revenue and enhanced customer satisfaction.
After much deliberation, it was decided that Thomas Dudley Foundry should be crowned the winner.
Thomas Dudley Foundry, founded in 1920 and based at Birmingham New Road, Dudley, took home the coveted award for best use of technology.
Andy Hill said: “It was a fantastic opportunity to be involved with such a well-established and popular event.
“All the shortlisted businesses were extremely credible and the judging was tough. It was a privilege to be part of the judging.”
The awards ceremony was held on 7 June at Wolverhampton Racecourse.
This year the competition attracted a record number of entries from businesses of all sizes from across the Black Country and south Staffordshire.
